WELCOME
The Synagogue in the Gerard Doustraat is the oldest functioning Ashkenazi shul in Amsterdam. Built in 1892 by the society "Hulpe Israëls / Tesjoengat Israel" (Israel's Help), it holds a special place in the Amsterdam Jewish Orthodox community.
The traditional Dutch-Jewish melodies and rituals, the beautiful, authentic interior and the gezellige (cozy) atmosphere make services at the Gerard Dou shul exceptional. First-time visitors are always warmly welcomed.
SERVICES
There are services every Shabbat and Yom Tov morning, starting at 09:30 am
LOCATION - Eruv
Our shul is located at the Gerard Doustraat 238 in downtown Amsterdam, near the crossing of the Albert Cuypstraat and the Van Woustraat.
